The unique design of the stools will enhance any room as they are multi functional to provide additional seating or they can be used as an occasional table. Each piece is made to order in fabric or leather as stated. Customers can also provide their own fabric if necessary.

Having had several enquiries for loose cover sofas and chairs and we are now delighted to offer a small collection. The main focus is to offer a product range to meet the demand of the higher end, design led, sumptuous sofas and chairs in quality fabrics.

The collection starts with the Canterbury, Chester and Warwick models, each offered with the option of a removable cover in a selection of natural based fabrics. We can also offer additional or replacement cover sets and will also produce in customers own fabric if necessary.

They are produced with a hardwood Beech frame and have heavy gauge serpentine springs, with the comfort of complex feather quilted seat cushions and high elastic foam centres. This combination offers all the luxury of feather without the loss of shape.

In an attempt to keep up with the demand to be green, many components are sourced from sustainable sources.

January is always a perfect time for all of us to organise and de-clutter and a good start is when we are clearing away all the Christmas decorations. Rather than pack away everything into various boxes and bags, a good idea is to buy see through stackable boxes with lids on. Then in eleven months time when it is time to decorate once again for the festive season everything is accessable visibly.

We all start off the new year with good intentions and usually by the end of January our old habits are gradually slipping back into place. Try harder this year, no effort, no reward.

December, so only another twenty four days to get everything in order for the time of celebration. For all of you creative people now is the time to think about buying a fresh Christmas tree, buy all the wrapping paper, tags and cards. Maybe choose special cards for those extra special people or perhaps use your own creative skills to make some. You might also want to have a theme for your gift wraps and coordinate colours.

Baubles, beads, tinsel, pretty lights.... time to sort out the ones you have used in past years, you might even want to buy extras to add to your collection. Adorn your front door with a festive wreath and even dress an outside tree with sparkling lights.

A welcoming addition to any room or decorative area is a selection of candles but always remember, never leave lighted candles unattended. Happy decorating..... Sue

How it's crept on us yet again, every year I am sure we all think the same, should have started our festive planning earlier. Maybe you were going to buy a new sofa or perhaps dining room furniture and ran out of time, forgeting that delivery times are imperative during the seasonal period.

Here are a few inexpensive tips on how to give your home a touch of glamour to welcome guests or even just for yourselves to generally spruce up your living space without much expense.

Buy rugs or throws in snugly wool or sumptuous velvet, they can be draped over your sofas or chairs and when it gets chilly they are there ready to snuggle under and get cosy.

Add more voluptuous cushions, maybe in rich festive colours and even try some in shimmering silks. Large floor cushions can be an added bonus when extra guest arrive and seating is in demand.

Candles are in abundance at this time of year so buy plenty but remember never leave them unattended or with children alone.

Cleaning a leather sofa

Today I had a telephone enquiry on how to keep a leather suite clean. The best advice I can give is to use a recognised product like the Guardsman Leather cleaning Kit, which can be purchaced from us at a cost of £36 with free delivery. Also I understand on good authority that a weekly wipe over with a damp cloth or maybe a baby wipe is useful. When using a baby wipe I suggest trying it on an out of the way area first. Sue

Julian visited a new supplier today, here is a taster of some of the new products which will soon be on the website. A selection of couture sofas, chairs and footstools. The good news on these products is that they come with a 4 - 5 week delivery once an order has been placed.
The British manufacturer is eco friendly and usually uses birch for the interior framework which comes from managed forests. Sue

It has been a busy and hectic few months, preparing, recording data, so much researching and we will soon be ready to launch our new enterprise. Sofa and Home will be an online retail site, initially selling sofas and chairs but we hope to expand to introduce beds and additional home style products.

We have all seen difficult times of late due to the credit crunch and the slump in house sales has had a major affect on many people. It is now a case of home improvement not movement for lots of people at the moment.

Families today lead such busy lifestyles with so much to do at weekends and little precious time to do it in. Spending time browsing department stores with a couple of children in tow can be a tedious and stressful task. We would like to bring the products and new trends to the consumer via the internet direct to them at their convenience.

There will also be a helpline for tips on interiors, style, colour trends etc. for customers who need help and advice. Julian and Sue have many years of experience and have travelled worldwide to source products, fabrics and ideas for up to date trends in design.
